INGREDIENTS:

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt

1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or on the stove, and add it to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Stir until well combined.
