1 cup milk, warmed to 110°F (43°C)
1/4 cup water, warmed to 110°F (43°C)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
METHOD:
In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
Add the warm milk, sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix well.
Gradually add flour, mixing until the dough comes together in a sticky mass.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide into 24 equal pieces and shape each into a ball.
Arrange the balls on greased baking sheets, cover, and let rise again until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm with butter.
