Cream Cheese Brownies

Decadence in every bite! 🍫❤️ Where chocolate and cream cheese unite

Ingredients:

For the Brownie Batter:

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Begin with the brownie batter. Melt the butter and chocolate chips together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Stir in 1 cup of sugar and 2 eggs to the chocolate mixture until well combined. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in nuts if using. Spread about two-thirds of the batter into the prepared baking pan.

For the cream cheese filling, beat the cream cheese with 1/4 cup of sugar in a medium bowl until smooth. Add 1 egg and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, beating until smooth and creamy.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan. Drop the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese filling in small spoonfuls. Using a knife or spatula, gently swirl the two batters together to create a marbled effect.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Be careful not to overbake.

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, cut into squares.

Enjoy the rich, fudgy texture of the brownies contrasted with the creamy tang of the cream cheese swirls!
